Kyle and the staff of Distinctive life Cremation Funeral Services are truly incredible. From the beginning of our contact with Kyle, he really went above and beyond for our family after the sudden passing of my Mom. He were able to make my Mom really look like herself and at peace as our family said our goodbyes at her ID viewing. This was my first time needing to plan arrangements for a loved one so close to us and Kyle facilitated this process with ease. Kyle was extremely accommodating to all of my requests. He consistently checked up on us during ID viewings to make sure that things were going smoothly and to see if we were okay. Distinctive Life was very helpful to me and my family when we lost our loved one. Our ninety five year old uncle passed away and although it was expected, it was still very painful and shocking. Distinctive Life was with us every step of the way throughout the service and the burial. They handled all of the details and seamlessly allowed this transition to materialize. I highly recommend their service!

The staff was both compassionate and professional. It must have been a challenge, as our service was at the military memorial cemetery and they were giving each funeral only a limited amount of time. Also, there were several of us working on the arrangements - two friends here in Dallas and a son who lives out of state. The rabbi they found did an excellent job, too. We did wish for better live-streaming equipment, but they made do with an iPhone and people were able to follow along.

From the gate, everyone at Distinctive Life has been wonderful. They helped me in preparing for my wife's burial services and went above and beyond to make sure that my wife and family were well taken care of. Losing your spouse puts tremendous pressure on you as the survivor and I don't know if I could have done everything needed at the time without the help of the ladies at Distinctive Life. I greatly appreciate the aftercare that is part of their process. The periodic emails, notes in the mail and phone calls have been a Godsend for me in helping to deal with the loss of my wife.

We needed to use two different funeral homes to bury our loved one in another state. Distincitive Life was recommended to us and they were amazing every step of the way even though the actual funeral was elswhere. They showed so much care and compassion and were always available to us and continued to be even after the funeral. In fact, their aftercare is remarkable, providing checklists of things that need to be done after a death and support in the grieving process. They have provided superb service and I would not hesitate one second to recommend them.

We lost our baby girl in March and Distinctive Life was one of the funeral homes Children’s Medical Center recommended. I was extremely worried about handing over my baby to just anyone. But as soon as I got on the phone with Cristela, she made me feel at ease. Once she picked her up from the hospital she called me and kept me informed about the required paperwork and cremation timeline. When I finally went to pick up her ashes, I broke down while she listened to me. We where able to relate on some of our experiences and I felt understood. We also felt that doing other services besides cremation would feel too depressing and “off” for our little angel so we opted out. But their place would be perfect for anyone looking for a funeral home that doesn’t have “old creepy and depressing” vibes. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The interior is very modern and feels peaceful. I will always be grateful for the women who brought her into this world and for the women who took care of her after death… 💜

Great experience working with Distinctive Life for my father's (Navy veteran) cremation. Worked with Kyle Ko, and I cannot say enough great things about him and his services. Very prompt, always went above and beyond, very honest and up front. Everything was great working with Kyle Ko, he handled the passing of my father with so much respect, and provided everything in-time for my father's funeral service. Additionally the urns selection is fantastic, we love how ours came out.

I cannot recommend this group highly enough. After my father passed unexpectedly, I had to begin making arrangements from out of state. The funeral director I spoke to on the phone was so incredibly compassionate and helpful. I informed her that I would be calling a few places for comparison shopping and she did not hesitate to offer guidance, information about what would be needed for anyone I ended up moving forward with, and compassion for what I was going through. I never felt like I was being pressured or upsold. I chose them based on their clear pricing, great communication and clear dedication to the families they worked to support during a time of loss. Throughout the following days and weeks, they made sure I knew what needed to be taken care of and made it as simple as possible for me. Their flexibility, professionalism and support made the situation much simpler than it could have been and I genuinely appreciate the empathy they showed. They coordinated working with local family to finalize all necessary documentation required and reached out to check on me. A simple act to let me know someone else was thinking of my family and what we were experiencing was very meaningful. I still receive emails from them to help me navigate the legal, financial, and emotional steps that come after losing a loved one. Lydia and Natalie gave me great comfort and I felt like interacting with them was more like having a conversation with a supportive friend than with a business. Their service is beyond compare and I am very glad that I trusted my father's final resting arrangements to them. I felt comforted knowing he was in their care.

Although this was a difficult time, you all were absolutely wonderful. Your knowledge of what needed to be done and prompt attention to every detail; your caring, thoughtful words of encouragement, appreciated the promptness of filing and obtaining the necessary paperwork ......
